⚫ After 10 to 12 years, 60% of the income from the sale of red sandal wood will be given to the customer. The company will take 40% as per the lease agreement.

Approximate calculation of revenue on red sandalwood farm land

⚫ We calculate 100 cents of land as 1 unit, in 1 unit, we provide 400 plants, a plant in 10 x 10 sq feet, each plant yields 500kgs ‘heartwood’ after 10 to 12 years, but we are considering only 200kgs per tree on average.

AP Govt announced Minimum support prices of 1 ton of red sandalwood for Red Sandalwood farmers as:

⚫ B Grade 32 Lakhs

⚫ C Grade 21 Lakhs

Approximate minimum estimate of income that can be generated from Red Sandal cultivation

Even after considering the value of grade C after 10 years

10 lakhs for each plant weighing 200 kg each minimum

100 cents 400 plants x200 kgs = 80 tonnes yield x 10 lakhs/tonne, total 8 cr

This is 8 crores, 60% of this customer share

That means we can earn around 5cr income in 10 years by cultivating red sandalwood in one acre of land
